Hailey breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the person who made the noise was just a girl, average height with all dark features. “It’s okay.” Laughed Hailey. She’d been used to people appearing out of nowhere and introducing themselves by now, it was happening every single minute. Usually back at the home, no one ever wanted anything to do with Hailey and she didn’t want anything to do with them, either. She was known for being a bit of a loner. “Nice name. I’m Hailey.” She smiled at the girl. “I was just looking for some place to stay since i sort of ended up here.. you wouldn’t know of any good accommodations, would you?” She asked.
Melinda half smiled at Hailey’s visual relief, and the laughter that came from her lips. She nodded, “It’s nice to meet you, Hailey.” Melinda said politely, pushing dark curls from her pale face and hissing in pain as her hand knocked against an eyebrow piercing. It stung. She didn’t hear Hailey at first, due to being distracted by pain, but then her mind registered the words. “What? Oh. Um. No.” Melinda said, smiling apologetically, shrugging. “Although, my house has a guest room. I could talk to my parents about you staying with us, if you want. Where are you from?” she asked, shoving her fingertips into her jean pockets.
